In the afternoon, we continue the route through Runkurakay Pass and explore the archaeological site of Sayaqmarca. Finally, we will reach the campsite at Chaquicocha, where we will have dinner and rest surrounded by mountains.
The third day begins at Chaquicocha with a revitalizing coca tea accompanied by an energizing breakfast to continue the journey.
Our hike will take us to the archaeological site of Phuyupatamarka, known as “the city above the clouds,” where we will enjoy spectacular views. Afterwards, we descend to Intipata, a set of Inca agricultural terraces surrounded by stunning landscapes.
At the end of the day, we will reach Wiñay Wayna, one of the most beautiful sites on the Inca Trail, where we will set up camp and enjoy a special dinner at our final accommodation on the route.
The final day of the adventure starts very early at Wiñay Wayna, where we will have breakfast before continuing the hike to Intipunku, the famous Sun Gate, offering the first panoramic view of Machu Picchu.
We will then enter the Inca citadel and enjoy a guided tour of approximately 3 hours, exploring its main temples, plazas, and viewpoints. Afterwards, we will descend by Consetur bus (30 minutes) to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch (not included).
