The adventure starts very early with hotel pickup in Cusco at 4:00 a.m. and we head to Cusipata to enjoy a breakfast.
From there, we continue the transfer to Marcaconga, Pomacanchi, and Santa Lucía, where we will begin a hike of approximately 1 hour to reach the impressive Waqrapukara fortress, a little-known archaeological site with great historical value.
We will have time to explore, take photos, and learn the history of this magnificent place. Afterwards, we return to Cusipata to enjoy a lunch before heading back to the city of Cusco.

Waqrapukara is located in the Acomayo province, Cusco, at an altitude of approximately 4,300 meters above sea level. It is an impressive Inca fortress with panoramic views of the Apurímac river canyons.
The tour lasts a full day (Full Day). It includes transportation from Cusco, a hike to the archaeological site, a guided exploration, and return to Cusco in the afternoon.
The hike is moderate, lasting 2 to 3 hours depending on the chosen route. It requires physical endurance due to the altitude but is accessible for travelers who have acclimated beforehand.
The tour includes round-trip tourist transportation, a professional bilingual guide, breakfast and lunch, entrance to Waqrapukara, and assistance throughout the experience.
